CFMS West Proposal Template

The project:

CFMS West enlisted our services to enhance the design and writing of their proposals for responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). As a provider of independent commissioning services for commercial buildings, they aimed to elevate the quality and effectiveness of their proposal templates.

Design process: Through a series of meetings during the discovery phase, we closely collaborated with CFMS West to identify their main pain points and opportunities for improving their sales efforts through a new proposal template. We designed key pages and crafted compelling copy to ensure the desired look and tone. Upon approval, we proceeded to build out the template and component files and create reusable copy for the template.

Solution: During the discovery process, we discovered that CFMS West’s team spent a significant amount of time searching through old proposals to locate content that could be reused. To address this challenge, we designed an MS Word template that divided sections into separate files, allowing for a centralized library where content could be easily searched and utilized. We created a master proposal template in Microsoft Word, which could be applied to all component files. This approach enabled the team to copy and paste content from one component file to another without worrying about formatting errors or template inconsistencies. The redesigned proposal template better reflected CFMS West’s professionalism and expertise.

Results: As a result of the new proposal template, CFMS West experienced improved response time to RFP submissions, with minimal formatting adjustments or reformatting required.

Conclusion: By focusing on CFMS West’s pain points and utilizing the proposal template project, we not only elevated the quality of their branded proposals but also streamlined their sales process when writing and assembling proposals.
